French Almond Macarons

My first try on making this French confection and I must say that it's a success!  I'm really fascinated (and drooling) whenever I see Ladurée's Macarons online. And since I haven't tried Ladurée's, I'm just making myself one.  

I chose to use purple, yellow, and green colors for these lovely little cookies and filled them with chocolate ganache.

Next time I'll try on playing different macaron flavors (and with a much more perfect "foot").

The smell of my freshly baked Croissants is enough to jump start my day!  It's a gloomy Saturday morning, and I started kneading my dough the day before.  Making fresh croissants is really worth the effort (after a lot of folding, and rolling, and folding again, and rolling again..). Indeed a happy Saturday!
